Chidambaram has been locked up with embarrassments!

Adding to the developments of Chidambaram's anticipatory bail which was appealed to the Supreme court after Delhi High court had rejected his pre-arrest bail petition, Enforcement directorate had issued lookout notice against Chidambaram which merely bans him from leaving the country.

The reports say that all the airports and immigration units have been put on high alert to counter Chidambaram on his attempt to leave the country by wiping off the lens of the CBI and Enforcement directorate which monitors the former Indian minister on having been accused in the irregularities committed by FIPB when he was finance minister where his son mediated with FIPB to flag illegal clearance to INX Media group in acquiring more than permitted foreign funds. After smelling the possible connection, the CBI had registered FIR against Chidambaram on May 2017, which he accused the Central government as the act of political vendetta.

The decision of issuing lookout notice to Chidambaram had came from the Central government after the Supreme court bench headed by Justice N V Ramana had refused to grant him anticipatory bail to prevent himself from getting arrested by the enforcement agencies and had refered the case to Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi to have possibilities for urgent hearing on his interim relief plea, while Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had said the apex court that this case falls under the grounds of monumental money laundering.

On the other side, Chidambaram's lawyer had said that the lookout notice which was issued by the government oils its politics as the former minister doesn't picture a flight risk to flee the country.

The panel of lawyers for Chidambaram, headed by Kabil Sibal had challenged the judgement of rejecting the pre arrest bail petition by the Delhi high court on Tuesiday, by appealing it in the Supreme court. Commenting on the bail petitions filed by Chidambaram, the investigating agencies have said that the former minister must be taken under custodial interrogation as he had placed falsified and unfactual information regarding the case in his previous appearances.

One of the disturbing cases for Chidambaram, the case of INX Media group had procured illegal clearance from FIPB in 2007 to attract foreign funds when he was finance minister, ahead to which his son Karti Chidambaram was allegedly accused of mediating with FIPB to get clearance for INX Media where on February 28, 2018, he was arrested by the CBI along with his auditor and later the both had been granted bail.
