Chandramukhi 2: Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy to postpone the release date! Here's the official update from the makers

The nail-biting fans of the blockbuster horror movie Chandramukhi have been fervently anticipating the arrival of its spine-chilling sequel, Chandramukhi 2. The movie was scheduled to hit the screens on September 15, but unfortunately, due to some unexpected technical glitches, the release date has been rescheduled to September 28.

The makers of the movie, Lyca Productions, announced the new release date by taking to X(formerly Twitter),  and assured the fans that the movie will be worth the wait. They also hinted at an extra special treat for the audience who will watch the movie in theatres.

They wrote, " "Chandramukhi-2 release date has been pushed to September 28 due to technical delays.  Vettaiyan & Chandramukhi will be back fiercer than ever. See you at the theatres with an extra special treat" Chandramukhi 2 is directed by P Vasu, who also helmed the first part.

The movie stars Raghava Lawrence as Vettaiyan, a fearless man who takes on the evil spirit of Chandramukhi, played by Kangana Ranaut. The movie also features a stellar cast of Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Shrusti Dange, Subiksha Krishnan, Ravi Maria, Karthik Srinivasan and others. The music for the movie is composed by MM Keeravani, who has given some haunting melodies and thrilling background scores.

Chandramukhi 2 is a multilingual movie that will be releasing in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The movie is expected to create a huge buzz across the country and break many box office records. The movie is a sequel to Chandramukhi, which was released in 2005 and starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles.

And the origin Chandramukhi was a remake of the Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu, which starred Mohanlal and Shobana. Chandramukhi 2 promises to be a spine-chilling horror thriller that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The movie will also showcase the amazing acting skills of Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut, who are known for their versatility and dedication. The movie will also bring back the comedy king Vadivelu, who will tickle the funny bones of the viewers with his hilarious antics.
