The much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster hit ‘Chandramukhi’ is finally hitting the screens on September 28, after a delay of 15 days. But what caused this unexpected postponement of the release date, is revealed by the director P Vasu during recent press conference.

According to the director of the film, P. Vasu, 450 shots from the film went missing mysteriously, leaving him and the crew in a state of panic. He said that he had no clue how or why the footage disappeared, and that he was stunned by the news.

He said that he and nearly 150 technicians searched frantically for the film shots for four days, before they finally managed to recover them. He said that the delay in finding the shots affected the editing process, which in turn delayed the release of the film.

The director did not reveal any details about how the shots went missing, or how they were found. He said that he was grateful to the producers and the distributors for their support and understanding, and that he hoped that the audience would enjoy the film.

‘Chandramukhi 2’ is a sequel to the 2005 action drama ‘Chandramukhi’, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles. The sequel stars Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut, who play the roles of Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja respectively.

The film explores the backstory of Chandramukhi, who was a court dancer in the kingdom of Vettaiyan Raja, and how she became a vengeful spirit. The film also features Vadivelu, Rashika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, and Shrushti Dange in supporting roles. The music is composed by MM Keeravani, who won the Oscar award for his last venture RRR.

The film is expected to be a visual treat for the fans of the franchise, as it has some stunning sets, costumes, and special effects. The film also promises to have some thrilling and suspenseful scenes, as the mystery of Chandramukhi’s past unfolds. The film is produced by Sun Pictures, and distributed by Lyca Productions.

The film is releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages, and has received a U/A certificate from the censor board.
