In a chilling event that has put the prison officer of the Puzhal Central Prison under trouble, an audio clip that was released on Friday - February 4 has apparently shown that jailed controversial YouTuber PUBG Madan's wife Kiruthika was heard speaking to prison assistant Selvam over the bribe from her to provide additional facilities to her husband inside the prison. After the clip went viral, Selvam has been placed under suspension. 

PUBG Madan was arrested in June last year after being surfaced with controversy and resentments over his obnoxious remarks against women on his Youtube channel. He ran the channel to stream the banned PUBG game during which he would be heard making vulgar comments. After his conduct had annoyed the state, demand had grown to arrest him after which he was absconded. After an intense manhunt, the police have arrested him and lodged him in the Puzhal prison. 

It was reported that Kiruthika has played a role behind Madan's channel and she has been kept under the scanner. As his channel was banned, Madan was going through incarceration and now, it has come to the revelation that his wife had attempted to make her husband feel sophisticated inside the prison. She has approached prison assistant Selvam to provide facilities to Madan for which Selvam had demanded a bribe from Kiruthika. 

According to reports, Selvam had demanded Rs 3 lakh bribe from Kiruthika for providing additional facilities to Madan and she had initially paid Rs 25,000 online and the audio clip where both were speaking about the rest of the bribe was leaked online on Friday. Soon after it came to light, it has been going viral and it has shocked the prison authorities that the fellow officer has agreed to provide additional facilities to an inmate by taking bribes. 

As it has sent heatwaves within the department, Prison Director and DGP Sunil Kumar Singh had ordered an inquiry into the matter based on the leaked audio. He said, "We have received a similar complaint against the jailer (Selvam) and we have ordered for an inquiry. We have also initiated departmental action against him." The reports say that after confirming that Selvam had spoken to Kiruthika, DGP Singh has on Friday placed Selvam under suspension. 

PUBG Madan has been one of the notorious YouTubers who mocked and abused women under the guise of streaming what had been a popular game. After multiple complaints, the cybercrime wing of the Central Crime Branch had arrested Madan and his wife Kiruthika last year. Kiruthika was arrested under the grounds of being the administrator of the YouTube channel and she had given audio background for the live-streaming game. 

Later, Kiruthika was granted bail. Their YouTube channel had eight lakh subscribers and many of them are teenagers. They ran YouTube channels like Toxic Madan 18+, PUBG Madan Fan Girl, and Richie Gaming YT. It was said that Madan had earned at least Rs 3 lakh a month through his channel and following his arrest, the police officers had seized three luxury cars that belonged to them.
