Caught on cam: BJP leader Khushbu's 'protest making' video against Thirumavalavan goes viral!

Actor turned politician Khushbu Sundar, who recently joined in BJP, has been finding space to occupy the political headlines by being the mouthpiece of the Central ruling party, and with her new allegiance to the BJP, she has been scathingly attacking the rivals of Modi in the state and she has started her attack from Thirumavalavan, whom she alleged that he had demeaned women.

The Tamil Nadu BJP unit has been filled with many Kollywood celebrities and the party has been deploying all of them to agitate against Thirumavalavan and the state has been witnessing strong protests from BJP against the VCK Chief for the past few days across the state with Chennai being the epicenter of the protests.

The issue has been centered around Thirumavalavan's speech in a webinar last month on 'Periyar and Indian Politics' and in his address, he spoke about 'Manu Dharma', which was the ancient books of law, and said how it has been treating women, what it says about women and how they are oppressed. In the webinar, Thirumavalan can be heard saying that Manu dharma says women are created by God as prostitutes and as per Hindu dharma, all women are prostitutes.

However, the Tamil Nadu BJP had claimed that Thirumavalavan had intentionally called women as prostitutes. The party and Hindutva leaders have been attacking the VCK Chief and they have been calling for protests against Thirumavalavan for his derogatory remarks against women. The BJP had planned to organize protests against Thirumavalavan in his Lok Sabha constituency of Chidambaram on Tuesday.

Khushbu and her supporters were preparing to lead the protests. However, the police had denied permission for the protests and deployed high security. Despite the denial, Khushbu had decided to defy the order and on Tuesday morning, she drove from Chennai to Chidambaram through the East Coast Road (ECR) and when she had her supporters had crossed Muttukadu near Mamallapuram, they were stopped by the police and Khusbhu and her supporters were taken under custody.

Khushbu and her supporters have been detained and kept under custody in a private property in Kelambakkam on the outskirts of Chennai. The actor turned politician had started protesting along with her supporters at the hotel premises where she was detained. She was speaking against Thirumavalavan while one of her supporters was video-recording the protest during which the camera had captured the 'protest making' footage of Khusbhu.

In the video footage, Khusbu was speaking about Thirumavalavan and she can be heard saying, "We are calling Thirumavalavan as an elder brother because we are giving that much respect to him. But, we can't give you that respect anymore after you had made derogatory remarks against women".

When Khushbu prepares to make her next statement, the woman who was recording the video says 'repeat' and Khushbu suddenly pauses and says, "Why? Don't say repeat when I'm going on flow". The woman video recorder says "start" and when Khusbhu asks from where, the video recorder says from the beginning for which Khusbhu says, "I'll kill you" and her supporters say her to start from "elder brother" and then she continues her speech. The footage of the protest making video has been going viral and getting rampantly spread across social media with many users trolling the actor turned politician over her episode of making the protest.
