With having been unspoken for the past few days while the nation has been under the aberrant and outrageous developments over the Citizenship Amendment Act, Tamilnadu's Actor and Political hopeful Rajinikanth had finally revealed his notion on the prevailing uncertainty. The actor has broken his silence on Thursday through which he seemingly kept himself under controversy and criticism that boomeranged against him soon after he aired his comments.
He took his official Twitter handle to express his concern in which he said that the violence and communal riots shouldn't become the way towards finding a solution to any issue. By not directly mentioning the incident and the protests, he called the Indian people to stay in the line of integrity, unity, and awareness to uphold the national security and national interest. He cited that the ongoing violence across the country gives him great pain.

His statement has been on the spotlight during the high time when the states of Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka had rolled out the peak of violence during the protests against the amendment of the Citizenship Act and the violence and clashes between the protesters and police have claimed the lives of two in Mangalore, Karnataka when the police had allegedly opened the fire. Similarly, a protestor was killed in Uttar Pradesh's capital when the police had deployed tear-gas to tackle the situation. However, the police had denied its role in the death.
The anti CAA protests have been rooting across the nation as the major cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai had witnessed the protests that were peacefully organized where about thousands of people took part in the protests in these urban cities to urge the government to revoke the amended Citizenship bill. Southern cities like Chennai and Bengaluru have been hosting the series of protests and in Chennai, the protesters had gathered in Valluvar Kottam in Nungambakkam area despite the city's police department had denied its consent to organize the protest while in Bengaluru, the police had imposed a curfew that had failed to put the protests on hold where a large crowd of people had assembled in the city and blamed the cops of imposing the curfew with the motive of scrapping the fundamental right of the freedom of expression.
Rajinikanth's statement has come amidst the heating protests and he has opened up days after when he was asked about his notion on the amendment of the Citizenship Act. While addressing the reporters in Mumbai on Monday, he denied expressing his comments by stating that the event was organized to address about his upcoming movie Darbar. By condemning the stance of the actor on the protests, Congress MP from Tamil Nadu Jothimani has said that the comment of Rajinikanth resembles the stands of BJP and accused the actor that the people's rights, identities, sentiments and the crackdown of the police don't matter for him.
