'BJP will not win a single seat': Shocking statement from a senior BJP leader!

While the Central ruling BJP has been hoping to have a political breakthrough in Tamil Nadu by securing an entry ticket for the legislative assembly after gaining representation through the upcoming assembly polls, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has shocked the party through his prediction that the party will not win a single seat in the assembly polls.

Subramanian Swamy has been serving as the BJP MP at the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament. He had visited Tirupati and while addressing the reporters after offering prayers at the temple, he had put out his prediction on the possibilities for BJP to win the allotted seats in the Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

Responding to the question over BJP's victory in Tamil Nadu, Swamy said that BJP will not win a single seat in the state if it contests the polls in alliance with the state parties. Swamy went on to say that the national parties should not dole the state parties for the seats and alliance.

He added that BJP must contest the polls independently regardless of the victory or the defeat. If BJP contests independently, it can manage to win two to three seats in Tamil Nadu and it will never win a single seat if it contests in the alliance.

Subramanian Swamy's shocking statement against BJP has come when Tamil Nadu is three weeks ahead of the crucial assembly polls. BJP has inked the deal with ADMK and the state ruling party has offered 20 seats to the Central ruling party while ADMK had provided 23 seats to Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK). As the state ruling party has finalized the talks with BJP over seat-sharing, the talks had now begun between the parties to finalize the constituencies and candidates.

ADMK had provided the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat to the BJP for the by-poll and the Central ruling party has fielded former Union Minister Pon. Radhakrishnan as it's a candidate for Kanyakumari. Tamil Nadu will go to the polls on April 6 and the votes will be counted on May 2, during which the results will be announced.
