BJP MP gives a big surprise to DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran...Here's an interesting story!

Everything was as usual when DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran boarded a flight to Chennai from Delhi and he has no knowledge that his journey is going to become memorable until a surprising event happened on board. When both the rivals share a seat on board as passengers, it may be uncomfortable for them but here, the scene was quite disparate and there was no room for rivalry. Yes, BJP MP is the captain of the flight on which Dayanidhi Maran was on board.

It indeed became a memorable flight for both the parliamentarians of the rival parties. Dayanidhi Maran, who is the DMK MP of Central Chennai, took to social media and shared the surprise given by the BJP MP and how his journey on the clouds will be remembered. His words sounded like he was full of agog after seeing his colleague captaining his journey to Chennai. Dayanidhi Maran has said that he couldn't recognize the BJP MP who was dressed in the captain's uniform. 

In his statement, the DMK MP wrote, "I boarded the Indigo flight from Delhi to Chennai after attending a meeting of the parliamentary Estimates Committee. I happened to sit in the first row, as the crew declared that the boarding had completed. "So, you are travelling in this flight as well", said a person dressed in the captain's uniform. I could not recognize him with his mask on, although his voice sounded familiar. I nodded my head, still wondering who it could be." 

Dayanidhi Maran said, "He looked at me and his eyes gave away the smile behind the mask. "So you don't recognize me!" he exclaimed. I realized then that it was none other than my colleague, senior member of parliament, and former Union Minister- my very good friend Thiru Rajiv Pratap Rudy! Just two hours ago, he and I were part of intense discussions at the Estimates Committee, and now I couldn't believe my eyes, seeing his transformation from a politician to a pilot."

"I was pleasantly surprised and told Rudyji that I couldn't believe that he was going to be the captain flying us from Delhi and Chennai. He laughed and said, "Yes, I noticed that you didn't recognize me, I fly frequently!" I could only say that I was honoured to be flown by my good friend and colleague. Rudyji also served as a Minister of State, when my father was the Union Minister for Commerce", Dayanidhi added. 

The DMK MP thanked Rajiv Pratap Rudy and said, "A flight to remember indeed! How often does a sitting Member of Parliament captain a commercial flight? I'm sure I will be talking about this for a long time. Thank you Captain Rajiv Pratap Rudy, MP for flying us safely from Delhi to Chennai!". The DMK MP had also shared his excitements through a series of Tweets and they have been going viral on social media.

Replying to his tweet, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy wrote in Tamil, "Thank you Thiru Dayanidhi Maran. I was happy and surprised to see you as a passenger on Indigo 6E864 from Delhi to Chennai after we met at the Parliament. It must be noted that you are a successful entrepreneur in aviation and a Union Minister. It was a blessing for me to work with your late father Thiru Murasoli Maran who was the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry in the NDA government led by the then Prime Minister Shri Vajpayee."

"I was blessed to participate in the Doha Summit of the World Trade Organization (when he was serving as the Union Minister of State). I extend commendation from the bottom of my heart for your hospitality", Rudy added. 59-year-old Rajiv Pratap Rudy is the BJP MP of Saran Chapra in Bihar and a spokesperson of the Central ruling party. According to reports, he is also a commercial pilot and he was credited by the Limca Book of Records for being the only Parliamentarian to fly a commercial aircraft. He has been piloting Airbus-320 of Indigo airlines, which is one of the economical private airlines in India.
