BJP MLA found hanging near his home, the Central party blames the ruling state party!

In a shocking development, Debendra Nath Ray, the BJP MLA of West Bengal, was found hanging near his home in Bindal village, North Dinajpur district in West Bengal on Monday morning -July 13. 

Ray was representing Hemtabad constituency in the state legislative assembly. Confirming the development, the local police department said that he was found hanging near a shop which sits near his home. The investigation has been launched into his death and his family members and the members of the BJP party alleged that the legislator was killed and hanged near his home. 

According to the reports, the reason for his death was not immediately known and the police said that the cause of death would be ascertained based on the autopsy report. The body was the lawmaker has been recovered and sent to Raigunj Hospital for conducting a postmortem. 

The BJP unit of West Bengal has taken to Twitter to comment on his death. The state unit has said "Body of Shri Debendra Nath Ray, BJP MLA from Hemtabad, a reserved seat, in Uttar Dinajpur, was found hanging like this in Bindal, near his village home. People are of the clear opinion that he was first killed and then hung. His crime? He joined the BJP in 2019". 

On commenting on Roy's death, BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that the ruling Trinamool Congress party is behind this killing and has made it look like a suicide. By demanding CBI's probe into the death, the leader requested the West Bengal Chief Minister to direct the CBI inquiry to find the truth behind his death.

 

According to the reports, Debendra Nath Ray had contested with the CPI(M) ticket in the reserved Hemtabad assembly and become the legislator. However, he switched the camp and joined BJP last year after the Lok Sabha Elections. Some of the local residents had spotted the body on Monday morning and informed the police.
