Big surprise from Boney Kapoor...Thala fans get ready to celebrate Ajith's huge birthday treat!

After a long incessant wait, Boney Kapoor has finally poured relish and happiness on the ardent fans of actor Ajith over the much-awaited Valimai update as Kapoor has on Monday unveiled a huge update of Ajith's upcoming movie and his latest update has come exactly one month after he said that the work has been in progress on presenting the first look of Thala's most expecting movie. 

The expectations around the movie growing as 'Valimai' has been on the floor for over one year and throughout this tenure, the movie team hadn't released any update of the movie that strongly disappointed the fans, pushing to demand the producer to release an update. They have been taking to social media and some of them had gone hard against producer Boney Kapoor for not speaking about the update. 

Amid such developments, Boney Kapoor has on Monday unveiled one of the massive updates that the fans have been waiting for - the first look of the movie. In what has become a relishing update, Boney Kapoor took to Twitter and said, "The first look and the promotions of #Valimai will be initiated from May 1st on the occasion of Mr #AjithKumar's 50th birthday #AK50."

Actor Ajith will be celebrating his 50th birthday on May 1, 2021, and Boney Kapoor had said that the first look of the movie will be released on Ajith's 50th birthday, which in a way would become Ajith's surprise birthday treat to his ardent fans, who braced up an incessant wait for the movie's update. For the fans who demanded the update, they will be relished to have the delight to have the first look of Valimai on Ajith's 50th birthday. 

Exactly a month ago, on February 15, Boney Kapoor said, "Wanakam. Humbled by your love towards our film “Valimai”. Bear with us as we work on presenting the First look soon. It’s in the best interests of the film." After a month, he has now said that the first look of Valimai will be released on May 1st. His tweet with a big update has been getting rampantly spread on social media as thousands of fans have been sharing the tweet, which had displayed how eagerly they had waited for the update. 

Earlier in February, Boney Kapoor said during an interview with Forbes that Valimai's post-production will start soon. The entire filming will be over by February 15, 2021, barring one stunt sequence to be shot overseas and the release date will be finalized. With his statement, it was strongly speculated that Valimai's first look will be unveiled in March 2021. However, Kapoor has now revealed that the first look will be released on May 1st. 

Valimai will be the second outing for Boney Kapoor with Ajith so is for director Vinoth, who directed 'Neerkonda Parvaai' previously that was starred by Ajith. Produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects, Valimai has Ajith in the lead role while Huma Qureshi has been roped in as the female lead and Kartikeya Gummakonda will be playing in the important role. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing music for the movie while Nirav Shah will be taking care of cinematography. 

Actors Pavel Navageethan, Yogi Babu, Achyuth Kumar, and Sumithra will be playing the important roles. Gummakonda will be playing the antagonist. Valimai was scheduled to release on 12 November 2020 for the Diwali holidays. However, the film's shoot was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic which affected the release schedule, pushing the fans to wait for more time. 

After a long delay, the movie has been nearing the final stage of production. Valimai will be an action thriller and earlier, Boney Kapoor revealed that the movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Ajith was last seen in Nerkonda Paarvai, directed by Vinoth and it was released on August 8th, 2019. Produced by Boney Kapoor, Nerkonda Paarvai is a remake of the Hindi film 'Pink'. It had featured Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Andrea Tariang in the lead roles while Arjun Chidambaram, Adhik Ravichandran, Aswin Rao, Rangaraj Pandey, Sujith Shankar, Delhi Ganesh, and Jayaprakash in important roles.
