For the first time after becoming a Tamil Nadu Minister in the cabinet led by his father and Chief Minister MK Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin is all set to have a big rendezvous with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. It is also the first time that he is touring the capital after swearing in as the Tamil Nadu Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development.
With a pack of crucial agenda, Udhayanidhi Stalin has left for New Delhi on Monday - February 27. He will embark a two-day visit at the capital during which he would draw an important push to his ministerial venture. Udhayanidhi will be meeting Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur to win the host for Chennai for the international sporting events.
Udhayanidhi Stalin will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. It has been reported that he would also take part in a family function of Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who had previously served in Tamil Nadu. Besides meeting the Prime Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin is also expected to visit Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) where he will be inquiring the students who were injured during the violence unleashed at the campus on February 19.
Udhayanidhi Stalin will also be meeting several national leaders during which he would handover invitations to some leaders, asking them to take part in the 70th birthday celebration of MK Stalin on March 1. He will also visit the newly constructed DMK's office in Delhi. According to sources, Udhayanidhi will play out as a torchbearer for Tamil Nadu government's measures to augment sports in the state. Not restricting himself only to urge the centre's assistance for the state's sports development, Udhayanidhi Stalin will also press the NEET issue directly to the central government.
