The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after complaining of chest pain on Wednesday.
Earlier on January 3, Ganguly underwent angioplasty on his right coronary artery at Woodlands Hospital this month after he suffered a mild heart attack while exercising at his Behala residence.
Ganguly's hospitalization had seen a constant stream of high-profile visitors at the hospital including West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. A medical panel, led by renowned surgeon Dr. Devi Shetty, was set up to monitor the health status of Dada, as Ganguly is popularly known.
Ganguly had also tested negative for coronavirus.
