On Tuesday, An apartment in South Bangalore's Kumaraswamy Layout gets sealed, where a 35-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were living, who had returned from the UK on December 19. 

They were tested positive for the new variant of coronavirus after two days of their return. Officials and local police took the 37 residents to a quarantine facility after chaos happened in complex on Tuesday morning. 

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) sealed the apartment with a banner outside displaying, ''Home Quarantine – Don’t visit us now” and has also blockaded up to 100m on building's both sides. 
 
Experts said that the two of them were the first official case of the country of this new variant of coronavirus. They were admitted to Victoria Hospital in Bangalore for medical supervision.
