Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ayalaan’ is a sci-fi dream come true for the actor and his fans. The film, which features an alien as a pivotal character, has been in the making for five years and has finally unveiled its teaser yesterday. The teaser launch event was attended by Sivakarthikeyan and some of his co-stars, who shared some interesting facts about the film.
Sivakarthikeyan, displaying remarkable altruism, disclosed in the event, that he chose to forgo his salary for 'Ayalaan,' demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the project. This gesture was driven by his desire to stand in solidarity with the dedicated makers who had invested significantly in the film. The movie's budget had exceeded initial estimates, primarily due to the extensive use of visual effects and intricate technical elements, making Sivakarthikeyan's support all the more crucial.
The actor's passion for the sci-fi genre was evident as he expressed his enthusiasm for starring in a film centred around extraterrestrial beings. He revealed that this opportunity was particularly meaningful as it fulfilled a dream cherished by the legendary actor MGR, who, unfortunately, was unable to realize a similar project. Sivakarthikeyan acknowledged his learning of this fact from the film's art director, Muthuraj, adding a layer of significance to the project.
Ravikumar, the film's director, also received praise from Sivakarthikeyan, who highlighted the director's unwavering dedication. Despite the lengthy production period, Ravikumar steadfastly focused on 'Ayalaan,' declining offers for other projects to ensure the film's quality and integrity. Sivakarthikeyan further delighted fans by announcing his collaboration with Ravikumar for another film in the near future.
Additionally, the acclaimed music composer, AR Rahman, composed three additional songs for 'Ayalaan', as he provided these extra compositions without any additional charge, despite the delay caused by the film's production challenges.
