Assam isolates the fate of two million!

By keeping the tensions and anticipation alive, the state of Assam had released the final list of its citizens by leaving nearly two million people with uncertainty as their names hadn't been listed in the final list published by the National Register of Citizens in what we can be able to report that by isolating the citizenship of two million, they will be grounded as illegal immigrants who had immigrated from neighboring country of Bangladesh.

Assam, one of the poorest states in India had hosted the scenes of hate and cynicism against the so branded illegal immigrants where the local residents had accused those immigrants, many said to have legged in India from Bangladesh, for abducting the jobs and lands from the local Assam communities.

Prateek Hajela, the coordinator of the state's register of citizens had said that after reviewing the documents furnished by nearly 33 million people, the list had today been released by finalizing and approving the citizenship of nearly 31.1 million people which had eventually excluded 1.9 million people, whose state and fate has now been driving through fear and uncertainty.

One among the local residents to get omitted in the final list is Munwara Khatun of Nagaon district who accompanied by two grandchildren and her husband, where she cried out of tears that everyone in my family had got placed in the list except her and raised her speculations of such possibilities while her husband Sahar Ali, who accompanied her to the registration center had told that in order to justify our status as Indian citizens, the family had pushed to produce the documents from land records and her voter identification card.

The state of Assam had witnessed the episodes of uncertainty and accusations over the publication of this final list and prior to which, the state had brought under huge security grid where about 60,000 state police have been stationed across the state along with nearly 20,000 paramilitary forces to contain the clouds of violence. There were many critics who had jointly accused Prime minister Narendra Modi's ruling Hindutva party of flagging its attempts to brand the legal citizens, Muslims in particular as illegal immigrants who had poured in from Bangladesh.

One of Modi's close aide and commandos, the Union Home minister Amit Shah had proclaimed that the Central government will have no tolerating approach towards illegal immigrants and branded them as "termites".

On the other hand, the state BJP government had cited the allegations on listing out the final citizens where the state finance minister had said that the names of many Indian citizens who legged into India from Bangladesh with refugee status prior to 1971 hadn't seen their names listed out in the list and he further added that some of illegal immigrants had been wrongfully added in the list. Its been speculated that the BJP government in state will table the legislation to comfort the non Muslim minorities from neighboring countries to grant them the status of citizens of India.

The Assam government, while urging its residents to acquire the conformity over their status of citizenship, had asked the people to produce the documents and proof of residence in India that they resided and raised in the country before March 24, 1971, the year which had accounted for mass immigration from Bangladesh ahead of having untoward and unrest grounds of war between Pakistan and the then Indian government. The state government further stated that they aren't in the clear picture that how the fate of illegal immigrants will be shaped as Bangladesh hadn't seemed to be committed in accepting them as the country has already been overflowing with high population and had recently accounted to shelter lakhs of Rohingyas from Myanmar.

The state government of Assam has been amounted to have more than 1,000 illegal immigrants in its six detention centers and by having been listed out to home more such immigrants, the state is most likely to set up more detention centers to accommodate the sudden uprising in the numbers of immigrants.
