The ruling ADMK government of Tamil Nadu has a battalion of ministers who would either get into the controversies or caught up with the condemnations and one of such minister is Dindigul Sreenivasan and the latest episode of his controversy is asking a tribal boy to remove his footwear in the middle of senior officials and leaders.
On Thursday, Dindigul Sreenivasan, who is the sitting forest minister of Tamil Nadu, visited the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in Nilgiris district. As part of his tour, he went to the temple and upon arriving, he called the tribal boy who was there to remove his footwear to enter the premises of the temple. Sreenivasan was circled by police, party members, and Nilgiris district collector Innocent Divya during this nauseating incident happened.
The incident was video graphed and hit the news which has been going viral. The video shows that the officers surrounding the minister had taken no step to stop the minister from asking the tribal boy to remove the buckle of his footwear. In the video, Sreenivasan can be seen calling the boys who belong to the Irula tribal community. He can be heard stating that 'remove this..buckle, buckle, after which one of the boys bends down and unhook the buckle while the other boy watches on.
When the boy was made to remove the footwear, Sreenivasan's security can be seen signaling not to video graph or to take pictures while Conoor MLA Ramu attempted to block the view. The reports have stated that a member who came with the minister had asked the boys to place the minister's footwear in front of the temple entrance.

After the incident came to the spotlight, the Minister for yet another time caught up with the fire of controversy and the activists had stated the act as minister's casteist behavior and the issue has now queued up before ADMK government which is packed to address the accusations. The activists had fiercely condemned and stated that the minister and the authorities around him must be booked under the Atrocities against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act.
