It was supposed to be a musical extravaganza, a night to remember for the fans of the Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman on September 10. But instead, it turned into a nightmare for thousands of people who attended his concert at the Adityaram Palace in Chennai. The event was marred by traffic jams, overcrowding, stampedes, and a lack of basic amenities.

Many people complained that they could not enter the venue even after buying tickets, while others said they had to wait for hours in long queues without any water or food. Some even fainted due to exhaustion. The police, who were caught off guard by the massive turnout, have launched an investigation into the matter.

Now the investigation report from the police is out which states that the event organizer ACTC Events, had hired inexperienced college students as volunteers to manage the crowd and security. The volunteers who were supposed to handle the situation lacked proper training and instruction, which resulted in coordination failure with the police and other authorities.

Moreover, the police have interrogated the organizer regarding the parking arrangements, venue capacity, and the measures taken to prevent similar problems from occurring in the future. The authorities have urged the event coordinator to promptly furnish an account and warned of potential legal repercussions for any negligence or violation. Furthermore, they have reassigned three IPS officers who were accountable for the event's security and have commenced an assessment of the authorizations granted for comparable occasions.

The fans of AR Rahman, who had come from different parts of the state and even from other countries, expressed their disappointment and anger over the mismanagement of the event. They said they felt cheated and betrayed by the organizer and demanded a refund or compensation. They also hoped that such incidents would not tarnish the image of their idol, who is known for his professionalism and excellence.

Meanwhile, AR Rahman's upcoming tour events are scheduled in Paris on September 27, and on Friday, September 29 in Germany. The third leg of the tour will be in London, United Kingdom on Saturday, September 30. The final show of the tour will be in Zürich, Switzerland, on Saturday, October 7.
