Months after expelling him from the post of the National Secretary, Central ruling BJP has given another shock for H Raja after dismissing him from a key post in what has become an unanticipated development in the Tamil Nadu BJP, stirring speculations on whether H Raja has been getting quashed from the Central ruling party.
H Raja has been one of the senior leaders in the Tamil Nadu BJP unit and known for his controversial remarks for which he was surfaced with massive flak. He had been serving as one of the national secretaries of BJP, which is an influential post in the party. Recently, BJP National President JP Nadda released the list of new national office bearers in which the Central leadership had expelled H Raja from the post of National Secretary.
After the revelation that he was expelled, Tamil Nadu BJP leaders went into shock as with H Raja losing the power, the state had lacked its representation at the Center as no leader from the state was appointed to the national posts. Following the removal, H Raja had remained unspoken in the media when the party has been preparing for the assembly polls.
Months after getting expelled from the post of National Secretary, BJP has given another shock for Raja as he has now been expelled from the post of party's in-charge for the state of Kerala. According to reports, BJP has been hoping to win all the states that are on the verge of assembly polls following its boosting victory in Bihar's assembly polls held recently.
With the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala facing legislative elections next year, BJP has now shuffled and replaced the leaders to concentrate more on these assembly polls. The Central leadership of BJP has appointed former Karnataka minister CT Ravi as the electoral in-charge for the party in Tamil Nadu. Ravi has been one of the national secretaries of the party and observing close ties with Tamil Nadu BJP President L Murugan.
He was serving as the Tourism Minister for Karnataka and after getting elevated as the national secretary of the party, he had resigned from the cabinet last month and he will be touring Tamil Nadu to strengthen the weakened base of the party in the state. H Raja has been removed from the post of party's in-charge in Kerala and he has been replaced by fellow Tamil Nadu BJP leader CP Radhakrishnan.
It has become another shock for H Raja as he has been expelled from the powerful posts at a high time when both of the southern states are approaching the elections and the development had stirred speculations on whether H Raja is getting washed away from the party.
On the other hand, days after the BJP failed to provide representation from Tamil Nadu to the national level, the Central ruling party had recently appointed former Tamil Nadu BJP Vice-President Vanathi Srinivasan as the National President of BJP Mahila Morcha, which is the women's wing of the party.
