Ahead of the release of Annaatthe, Annaatthe Dosa has become the latest sensation and talk of the town in Trichy. It is typical in Tamil Nadu that the cinema fans would have a special place for their favourite actors in their lives and Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the actors who had gained everlasting stardom and be it a new release or his birthday, the superstar fans celebrate in style and when it comes to the actor's health, the fans would come to the front in offering prayers for the speedy recovery. 

Several fans had offered prayers for Rajinikanth during his hospitalizations and an ardent fan in Trichy, Tamil Nadu has come up with an unusual trend that has turned the heads from across and beyond the borders. 55-year-old Karnan, a restaurant owner in Trichy, is now welcoming his guests by putting a placard in the entrance of his eatery which says 'Annaatthe Dosa' for Re 1. As Rajinikanth's next Annaatthe will be getting released in the theatres on Thursday, during the Diwali occasion, Karnan named the dish Annaatthe Dosa. 

Karnan has said that he has come up with this special offer of Annaatthe Dosa to pray for Rajinikanth's good health and success. He said, "He (Rajinikanth) was hospitalized recently and his fans had offered prayers in various forms for his recovery and health. I got the idea of offering 'Annaatthe Dosa' at Re 1 for a day against the usual Rs 30. I felt all those who eat will wish him good health and I wanted those wishes for him. I feel that this will be a way to celebrate Annaatthe Diwali."

Karnan's eatery would welcome you with Rajini's pictures and movie titles. Significantly, Karnan's restaurant is named as 'Annamalai Hotel', after the actor's 1992 superhit movie and the hotel displays several flex sheets with the photos of the actor. Reacting to how he had managed to sell dosa for Re 1, Karnan said that this is not the first time that he is doing something in the name of Superstar Rajinikanth. He said that he will always try to do some service to people and he had done some during the pandemic and natural disasters. 

He said the release of Annaatthe and Rajini's sudden hospitalization have come together and speaking to a news agency, Karnan stated, "I thought this would be the best way to send overwhelming wishes to him besides celebrating the release of Annaatthe. It has nothing to do with promoting my eatery and I have not done any wide publicity." His offer of Dosa at Re 1 had lasted for a day on Tuesday and while commenting about the sale, Karnan said that his hotel had sold around 600 dosas on Tuesday. Many customers had come with their friends and everyone had more than one Dosa. 

"It was filled with positive vibes, which I had desired", Karnan added. Annaatthe will be hitting screens globally on Thursday and the first look poster and trailer had poured more expectations on the movie. Bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner Sun Pictures, Annaatthe is directed by Siva and while Rajinikanth plays the lead role, Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, Vela Ramamoorthy, and George Maryan will be playing important roles. Annaatthe will be distributed by Red Giant Movies and D Imman has composed the music.
