AK65 Buzz: Ajith Kumar to collaborate with this famed director! Here's what we know

Ajith who is busy with Vidamuyarchi, who is reportedly in talks with Prashanth Neel, the visionary director of the KGF franchise, for his 65th movie. According to a reliable source, the duo has completed the first round of negotiations and is keen to collaborate on a pan-Indian project that will showcase their talents and charisma to a wider audience.

The source also revealed that the movie will be produced by Hombale Films, the banner behind KGF and Salaar, and will have a massive budget and a star-studded cast. The movie is expected to go on floors in 2024, after Prashanth Neel wraps up his current commitments with NTR31, KGF3, and Salaar2.

Meanwhile, Ajith is busy with his upcoming projects, Vidamuyarchi and AK63, which are directed by Magizh Thirumeni and Adhik Ravichandran respectively. He also has AK64, which is rumoured to be helmed by Vetrimaran, the National Award-winning director of Asuran and Vada Chennai. However, this is not confirmed yet.

If the news of Ajith Kumar and Prashanth Neel joining hands is true, then it will be a treat for the fans of both stars, who have been waiting to see them work together in a massive plot. The movie will also be a milestone in their careers, as they will be exploring a new genre and a new market. 

The director's latest project was Salaar, which stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shreya Reddy, and features Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, and Mime Gopi. The film follows the story of a gang leader who sets out to fulfill a promise to his dying friend by taking on other criminal gangs. It premiered in India on December 22, 2023, and is set to be released on Netflix on January 4, 2024. The film was made with a budget of ₹270 crore and has grossed ₹611.8 crore worldwide.
