The ultimate star of Kollywood town to give his fans a double treat by signing two big projects back to back. While the shooting of ‘AK 62’, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, is expected to start in May 2023, another exciting news has come out about ‘AK 63’, which will be helmed by Siruthai Siva.

Ajith has reportedly inked a deal with Sun Pictures, one of the leading production houses in Kollywood, to star in ‘AK 63. This is the first time that the actor has teamed up with this banner.  ‘AK 63’ will also mark the fifth collaboration between Ajith Kumar and Siruthai Siva, who have delivered hits like Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam and Viswasam in the past. The duo is known for their mass entertainers that cater to the family audience as well as the fans.

Sources say that AK 63 will be a dramady with a strong emotional core, as such like the director's touch, but neither the genre nor the cast have been announced as of yet. The film is slated to release in late 2024 or early 2025 after Ajith Kumar completes his bike tour across the world. 

Meanwhile, Siruthai Siva is currently busy with his upcoming film Kangua, which stars Suriya in the lead role. The film is an fantasy perioic adventure 3D drama. The shooting of Kangua is expected to wrap up soon and the film will hit the screens later this year.  On the other hand, Ajith Kumar’s ‘AK 62’ is also generating a lot of buzz among his fans.

The film, which was initially supposed to be directed by Vignesh Shivan, has now been taken over by Magizh Thirumeni, who is known for his crime thrillers like Thadaiyara Thaakka and Thadam. The film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Nirav Shah. The official title and the cast of ‘AK 62’ will be announced soon by Lyca Productions, where reports says that the makers are planned to drop the official announcement on the occassion of the actor's birthday, May 1 2023.
