Ajith fans go everywhere in search of 'Valimai' update: Here's a fan asking an update in IND vs NZ Test final!

When the eyes of the cricketing world are at the historical Test final between India and New Zealand that has been hosted by the English city of Southampton, an image that was surfaced from the stadium had stunned everyone across and beyond the borders as a cricket fan from India had drawn major attention by displaying that he is an ardent fan of Kollywood actor Ajith through a banner asking 'Valimai' update. 

The incident has exhibited that Ajith fans go everywhere in search of  'Valimai' updates as they are desperately waiting for an update of Ajith's next from the makers. Valimai has been in the making for years now and the Kollywood industry and fans have no idea on what's happening in the sets and what's behind an incessant delay. The movie is on the shooting floor and maintaining utmost secrecy on its developments without a valid reason. 

With a huge delay, the fans of Thala Ajith have shown their protest against the movie makers and they have been demanding the producer to release a movie update. By losing patience, several fans had directly castigated Boney Kapoor, who is bankrolling the movie, on social media and they had gone hard against Kapoor for not speaking about the update.

Valimai has become the only movie of Ajith to witness such a delay even for releasing an update. The long wait was wrongly played by some of the fans of Ajith who have been asking for the movie update wherever they go. While they took social media to display their expectations through circulating memes and trolls and asking for the movie update, earlier this year, they had gone to the extent of asking for updates of Valimai at public and political events. 

Earlier, there were moments where fans asked the political leaders, including the Prime Minister, and cricket players in the matches held in India about the 'Valimai' update, and such events had heavily disturbed Ajith. In February this year, Ajith had released a statement in which he said he was upset over the activities of some of the people under the guise of my fans asking for the update of Valimai in government, political, and sporting events. 

He requested his fans to observe dignity and discipline in public places and on social media. However, according to reports, such events had become incessant like how the Valimai makers are incessantly delaying the update. In line with that, the banner of the 'Valimai' update has now reached the historical cricket match. Kohli's Indian team and Kane Williamson's New Zealand team have been locking horns in the World Test Championship, the first Test final in the history of cricket. 

The final match has been hosted by Southampton, UK and while the match is underway, a fan had lifted the banner asking 'Valimai Update' and the visuals of the banner have been going viral on social media. According to reports, a fan had erected the placard asking for the Valimai update and some of the fans had also asked for the movie update from Indian bowler Ravichandran Ashwin, while the latter was in a practice session. These acts were doing rounds of social media amid the historical battle. 

It must be noted that Boney Kapoor had earlier this year released an update and said that the entire filming will be over by February 15, 2021. However, no further updates had come from the producer and in March, Kapoor said that the first look and the promotions of Valimai will be initiated from May 1st on the occasion of Ajith's birthday. However, no such thing had come out and the fans still yet to get an update about the movie that has been in shooting for over a year.  

While Boney Kapoor produces the movie, Valimai is directed by H Vinoth and Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music. Huma Qureshi has been roped in as the female lead and Kartikeya Gummakonda, Pavel Navageethan, Yogi Babu, Achyuth Kumar, and Sumithra will be playing the important roles. Though the pandemic caused major disruptions in the movie, the current state of the movie has been kept in suspense and the fans are expressing their outrage as the update is far from their sight.
