The stage is set, the curtains are about to rise, and fans can barely contain their excitement, as fans are gearing up to witness the extravaganza as the audio launch event of Ponniyin Selvan 2 today eve. Excitement levels are at an all-time high as the makers have also announced that the film's trailer will be unveiled at 9:30 PM today, sending fans into a frenzy. Directed by the celebrated filmmaker Mani Ratnam, 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' has been one of the most-awaited films of the year. 

The trailer launch event will be held at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai with the presence of cast and crew of the film where Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will be the chief guest of the music launch of the film, confirmed by the makers.  Now the latest reports came that the Pathu Thala actor Simbu is all set to make his grand appearance at the audio launch of the epic historical drama 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'.

Fans are in a frenzy on social media as they are gushing over the fact that the iconic on-screen couple, Karthik and Jessie, is all set to reunite once again. The popular pair shot to fame with their unforgettable chemistry in the hit romantic drama 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya'. 

And it's worth remembering that the audio launch of PS Part-1 features such as  Jayaram Mimicry, Superstar - Ulaganayagan speech, Trisha and Sidharth duo vibing on their previous debut song were the remarkable highlights of the event. Ponniyin Selvan 2 is based on the novel of the same name by Kalki Krishnamoorthy, which narrates the story of Arulmozhi Varman, who later became Rajaraja I, the greatest ruler of the historic Chola empire of south India. The film features an ensemble cast of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayaram, R. Sarathkumar, Parthiban Radhakrishnan, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman and Kishore Kumar G.

The teaser of Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released in December last year and received a massive response from the audience. The film is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Ponniyin Selvan 1 was released in 2022 and was a huge box office success. The film received critical acclaim for its grandeur, cinematography, performances and music.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is one of the most awaited films of this year and promises to be a visual spectacle with thrilling action sequences and captivating drama. The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The epic magnum opus slated to debut theatres on April 28th 2023.
