Days after wrapping up his Dubai tour, which was his first overseas trip as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,  MK Stalin will soon be taking off his second overseas tour as signals for his next tour are strongly visible, though the government didn't divulge the probable schedule. 

This time, Chief Minister MK Stalin may visit the United States or South Korea. Tamil Nadu Industries Minister Thangam Tennarasu has on Monday said that the countries like the United States and South Korea have invited Chief Minister MK Stalin and that the official announcement regarding his tour will be made soon. The reports say that the Chief Minister may fly for his second overseas tour after July. 

MK Stalin has toured Dubai and Abu Dhabi late last month where he had visited Dubai Expo, met investors, and interacted with the Tamil diaspora living in the United Arab Emirates. He went to Dubai on a four-day visit along with his family members and the state delegation. After returning from the UAE, he said that he had returned with investments worth over Rs 6,000 crore for the state. He further described his first official overseas tour as a great success. 

He said that the proposed investments would facilitate job opportunities for 14,700 people. He stated that the investment proposals remained paper boats during the previous ADMK regime and that the agreements that were signed now outline a time frame for commencing operations. He further said, "For sure, we will bring those industries ahead of the schedule and create job opportunities and there need not be any doubt about it." 

MK Stalin highlighted that investors have been given a sense of confidence in government concessions and they have been briefed about the favourable conditions for making investments. As per the reports, UAE-based retail giant Lulu group will be making an investment of Rs 3,500 crore in Tamil Nadu to set up shopping malls, hypermarkets, and a food-logistic park. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu opposition ADMK has criticized MK Stalin's trip as a family tour.
