An ADMK leader in Chennai has claimed that he has been threatened by fellow party workers over using a wall in his neighbourhood for promoting the party. The leader has moved his complaint to the local police demanding action against the trio for their atrocities.
According to reports, Mahalingam is a resident of Vyasarpadi, Chennai and he has been serving as a youth wing secretary in ADMK. He has lodged a complaint with the MKB Nagar Police Station in which he had alleged that he has been threatened by the three cadres of ADMK. Mahalingam said that he has been using the wall in his neighbourhood, near Guruchandra Mahal, for over a decade to draw the party's election symbol and the faces of the party leaders.
However, Mahalingam said that three ADMK functionaries - Lion Kumar, Rajesh, and Vincent Joseph have been threatening him to leave the wall to them apart from removing the graffiti that he has drawn for the party's late leader J Jayalalithaa's birth anniversary. The police have been investigating his complaint. On the other hand, in another shocking incident, a case has been booked against three other ADMK cadres in connection with beating a woman with footwear.
The reports say that Royapuram police have registered a case against three ADMK members for attacking a fellow woman cadre with footwear when she tried to take a photo with the former ADMK Minister D Jayakumar. The woman identified as Jayamathi is a resident of Royapuram and she was receiving ADMK leader Jayakumar in Royapuram.
When she had tried to take a picture with Jayakumar, Sathish Kumar of ADMK Amma Peravai, his wife, and another ADMK member named Jayamalini had pushed Jayamathi away and attacked her with footwear. Following the incident, Jayamathi had lodged her complaint to the Chennai Police Commissioner after which a case has been registered at the Royapuram police station.
