This actress joins Sivakarthikeyan’s SK23 after her debut film with Vijay Sethupathi

Rukmini Vasanth, who has impressed the audience with her performances in Kannada and Hindi films, is all set to make a mark in Tamil cinema. She has been roped in as the female lead of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film SK23, which is being helmed by ace director AR Murugadoss.

SK23 is Rukmini’s second Tamil film, as she is already making her debut in the industry with VJS 51, opposite Vijay Sethupathi. The film is directed by Arumugakumar and is expected to release later this year. Rukmini plays a journalist in the film, which is said to be a family entertainer.

SK23, on the other hand, is touted to be a high-octane action thriller, along the lines of Murugadoss’s previous hit Thuppaki. The film’s pooja launch ceremony took place today, with the presence of the cast and crew. The film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander.

The latest addition to the star cast of SK23 is the legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal, who will be playing a crucial role in the film. Mohanlal, who is known for his versatile and powerful performances, has previously worked with a few tamil hits previously. 

Vidyut Jammwal is expected to play an important role in the film, possibly as the antagonist. However, his confirmation is yet to be announced officially. The film's official announcement is expected to commence along with first look and title teaser of Sk21, on 17th February 2024, on the occasion of the actor's birthday.
