The celebrating Superstar of Indian Cinema and the political hopeful Rajinikanth had kept his promise alive after he had gifted a 3 BHK house to one of the old time and experienced Tamil story writers Kalaignanam, who had introduced Rajinikanth as a hero in Tamil industry in his movie 'Bairavi' that was released in 1978.

The reports say that Rajinikanth himself had presented the new house for Kalaignanam today morning which is in Virugambakkam area of Chennai with the worth of Rs 45 lakh. The opening ceremony and the lighting occasion have been occupying the pages of Social Media today during the Superstar had gifted and lighted the lamp of 3 BHK house after which Kalaignanam had introduced his family to Rajinikanth.

It was on August 14th 2019, in the event that was organised by Director Bharathiraja in the view of commemorating Kalaignanam's 90th birthday , Rajinikanth had placed his promise on the stage that he will soon present the house of Kalaignanam.

Speaking on the stage, Rajinikanth had expressed his saddened emotion after knowing that Kalaignanam still lives in a rented house and he also thanked the Tamil Nadu state minister Kadambur Raju for his assertion that the state government will provide a residential house for the veteran story writer. Rajinikanth claimed that he will not give that prospect to the government before which he will buy and gift a house to Kalaignanam, that he had done today. He further added in the stage that Kalaignanam's breath will leave his body from his house and asked Director Bharathiraja to look for the houses.
