Actor turned politician Khushbu has, on Monday, left the Congress party with a huge upset after she quitted from Gandhi's camp and decided to shelter in the Modi's camp as she would be joining the Central ruling BJP party on Monday in Delhi. In what has become a politics of power, the development has come days after she has asserted that she was happy with the Congress and negated the speculations that she is going to join BJP. 

The actor has suddenly twisted the tale and has decided to join the BJP and according to reports close to the developments, she would officially be joining the BJP at the event in Delhi on Monday. Her decision of joining the Central ruling party has come as a surprise for many as she had been one of the staunch critics of the BJP and being a national spokesperson of the Congress party, she has castigated and condemned the Center's decisions and policies and voiced against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

Giving a shock to the Congress party, she would be joining the saffron party at a high time when the parties in Tamil Nadu have been preparing for the state assembly elections. According to reports, Khushbu has been unhappy with the Congress since she was not awarded with a party ticket to her to contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. 

Khushbu has been one of the star political campaigners in Tamil Nadu and being one of the reputed actresses in the state, she has been an easy-reach face of the parties to the larger voter base. She entered politics by joining the DMK in 2010. She worked for the Dravidian party for four years until the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. 

In July 2014, she had left the DMK and in November of the same year, she had joined the Congress party, and soon after she joined, she was awarded the post of the national spokesperson of the party and emerged as one of the star women leaders in the party.

The actor had turned into one of the strong criticizers of the Modi government and she has scathingly attacked the Central ruling party against its bills and policies and she campaigned against the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls with the expectation that she would be given a party ticket to contest in the elections. However, she wasn't awarded one and the reports say she has been unhappy with the Congress ever since. 

As the sequel, she has now got prepared to support the party against which she was working last year. The actor was surfaced with the speculations that she would be joining BJP after she had supported the National Education Policy 2020. While the Congress party had opposed and protested against the policy, she took a different stand against the party and claimed that the policy should be welcomed. Later, she went on to issue an apology to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for taking a different stand and said she would rather speak the fact than be a head-nodding robot or a puppet. 

Last Sunday, Khushbu had left for Delhi from Chennai and it was strongly speculated that she would be joining BJP at the national capital. However, she maintained that she had gone to Delhi to take part in the protests against the new farm bills organized by the Congress party and asserted that she was happy with the Congress and denied the rumors. However, within a week, she had twisted the tale and decided to join the BJP and in the span of one year, she has prepared to change her voice in support of BJP and against the party, which she asserted she was happy to be a part.
