For his third tamil directorial with Karthi in the lead will have Gayatri Bhardwaj, who enthralled fans with a Hindi series, will be playing the female lead as per the recent reports claims and the actress's participation is expected to be confirmed during the official launch. The actress also made her South debut with the film titled 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' after Hindi debut.

However, Karthi will wrap up working on the film on 'Japan,' which is his 25th film and the first time he teams with acclaimed filmmaker Raju Murugan. The film features Anu Emmanuel opposite Karthi. Director Vijay Milton and Telugu actor Sunil are playing the lead roles. GV Prakash Kumar is doing the music. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages ​​and is produced by 'Dream Warrior Pictures'.
