The multi-talented actor, director and choreographer Prabhu Deva has a new reason to celebrate. He has welcomed a baby girl with his second wife, Himani Singh, a physiotherapist from Mumbai. This is the first girl child in Prabhu Deva’s family and the fourth child for the 50-year-old star.
Prabhu Deva confirmed the news of his daughter’s birth in an interview with ETimes and expressed his happiness and fulfilment. “Yes, it’s true. I am now a father again at the age of 50. This brings me immense happiness and a sense of completion,” he said.
Prabhu Deva met Himani when he consulted her for some pain in his back and legs. The two fell in love and got married secretly in 2020. They kept their relationship away from the media glare and only revealed it to their close friends and family.
Prabhu Deva was previously married to Ramlath, with whom he had three sons. Unfortunately, their eldest son died of cancer in 2008, aged 13. Prabhu Deva also dated actress Nayanthara for a few years but they parted ways in 2012.
Prabhu Deva, who is known as the Indian Michael Jackson for his amazing dance moves, has been working in the film industry for over three decades. He has won two National Film Awards for Best Choreography and has directed several hit films in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
He was last seen on screen in the Tamil film Bagheera (2023), which was a psychological thriller. He also directed Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2021), which was released on OTT platforms due to the pandemic. Now, Prabhu Deva wants to slow down his busy schedule and spend more time with his family.
