In a shocking piece of news, a 45-year-old woman killed a DMK functionary on Monday after the latter complained about the former's illegal business. The incident happened in Tambaram and the police are looking out for the woman who fled the spot after throwing the body of the deceased on the road.
45-year-old Yogeshwari, also known as Esther, is alleged to be a bootlegger and she murdered a DMK functionary 31-year-old Sathish after he complained to the police about her illegal liquor trade at her house at Somangalam near Tambaram. Sathish was a DMK ward member of the Naduveerapattu panchayat and recently, he lodged a complaint to the police that Yogeshwari was stocking and selling illegal liquor.
Based on Sathish's complaint, the police officials raided Yogeshwari's home and seized bottles of liquor that were stocked illegally. Wrathed by the complaint from Sathish that put her illegal trade in trouble, Yogeshwari decided to kill Sathish and plotted a plan to execute the murder. According to the police, she called Sathish to her house on Monday for a discussion.
Sathish went to her house and once he entered, Yogeshwari closed the doors and killed him. She threw the body on the road outside her house and fled the spot. Shocked to see a dead body on the road, the local people informed the Somangalam police after which the officials recovered the body.
As Yogeshwari went missing, a case has been registered against her and police launched a search to trace her. The officials are checking CCTV camera footage and have alerted checkpoints to nab the accused. It has been reported that Yogeshwari was earlier into prostitution and then turned to selling illegal liquor.
