51-year-old Ajith Kumar has marked thirty illustrious years in the cinema industry and to celebrate the feat, the ardent fans of the actor have gone beyond the borders. Ajith first appeared in a minor role in the movie 'En Veedu En Kanavar' released in 1990. The path from there to where he is today was laid by him with hard work, perseverance, zeal and zazzy. 

The legendary actor has amassed a sizeable fan base over the years because of his charismatic attitude and impressive on-screen work. 'Thala' Ajith, as affectionately known by his fans, did not have a comfortable life on the way to glory. Ajith always desired a career in modelling and racing, but reality had other ideas for the superstar who made a name for himself in the movie industry.  

In 1993, he made his film debut in a major leading role with "Amaravathi," and the following year, he also made his Telugu film debut with "Prema Pusthakam." Ajith's fame, however, was sparked by the 1999 film Vaalee. And among his many successful films are Dheena, Citizen, Varalaru, Billa, Mankatha, Veeram, Viswasam, and Valimai.

Even after 30 years, he still makes the same promises with his responsible film works. Today on August 5, fans have developed a trend on Twitter called "30yearsof Ajithism" as he marks 30 years in the film industry. Besides social media wishes, there were a few spectacle events organized by the fans on a special day. According to reports, a league of Ajith fans has organized an event where they offered food for people for free to cost to celebrate the actor's 30th anniversary in the industry. 

Interestingly, the fans have broken the borders as this event was organized at 'Vilaiyilla Virundhagam' (Free food hall) which belongs to actor Vijay's fan club. Another side of the celebration had a remarkable gesture, where the Ajith fans in Pondicherry went below the water for 100 feet and put up a banner to celebrate the 30th anniversary in the film journey of the actor. 

On the work front, Ajith Kumar has teamed up with director Vinoth, for the third time in a row, for the project AK 61. As per the latest reports, the team would be wrapping up the shooting soon and the first look may be released on August 13. The film, produced by Boney Kapoor, has Manju Warrier as the female lead, while Ghibran composed the soundtrack. The actor will also be acting in AK62, which will be helmed by Vignesh Shivan. Anirudh Ravichander has been chosen to compose the soundtrack for the movie that Lyca Productions is funding. The drama's additional actors and crew have not yet been revealed.
