An 11-year-old TN student writes to MK Stalin...Check what happened next!

An 11-year-old student in Tamil Nadu has written to Chief Minister MK Stalin and within days of her petition, a local MLA has visited her house and fulfilled her need. The incident has become the talk of the town and her petition has also brought a ray of hope to two other people.

11-year-old Sandhiya is a physically disabled student native of Keelpadi in Rishivandiyam in the Kallakurichi district. She has lost her father and has been under the complete care of her mother. She is currently studying class 6 in the local government school. Our sources say that her mother works as a labour and Sandhiya was facing difficulty in attending her school owing to her disability.

She can't be able to walk to school and as she is growing older, she was in need of assistance to take her to school. She has written to Chief Minister MK Stalin stating her condition, which could affect her education. After going through her petition, the Chief Minister passed an order to local DMK MLA Vasantham Karthikeyan to do the needful for Sandhiya.

After receiving the order, the legislator had met Sandhiya and her mother and he had provided a vehicle, run by the battery, to Sandhiya. It is worth Rs 1 lakh and Karthikeyan had directly visited Sandhiya's house and handed over the vehicle to go to school. He also has conveyed to Sandhiya's family that the Chief Minister has directed to increase the educational fund for Sandhiya.

Besides fulfilling Sandhiya's need, MLA Vasantham Karthikeyan has also provided two-wheelers to two physically disabled people at his own cost. It must also be noted that recently, he has rushed his financial assistance to a family, in his constituency, that has suffered a fire accident.
