Ahead of having been encountered many failures to rescue Indian flagship carrier "Air India" which has been under huge debt and accounted for unprecedented loss, the Central government has now announced that one of the important Indian fleet will soon be privatized.
While addressing with regard to sell the operations of flagship carrier, Union Aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said that the central government had arrived at the determination to privatize Air India.
He added that the first meeting to focus on identifying the alternative mechanisms for Air India which will be chaired by Union Home minister Amit Shah will be tabled soon in the wake of inviting the acquisition deal and he further stated that the government's determination to privatize the airline has been flagged to finalize the best possible deal in the time frame.
Air India is the main flagship carrier in Indian aviation industry which is owned by Air India Limited, a government owned enterprise which actively operates the fleet of Airbus and Boeing by serving to 94 domestic and International destinations. Air India had commenced its operations in 1946, nearly 73 years ago.
