Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has a perfect and timely day out in Tamil Nadu and besides his campaign outreach in the western districts of the state ahead of the assembly polls, Rahul Gandhi's surprise visit to a village and appearance in the popular cooking channel has become the talk of the town as the Congress leader's first-of-its-kind day out, cooking, sharing the mat to taste the food, and his intimate conversations have been doing rounds on social media, which had given him a crucial push in the state with thousands lauding him for his down-to-earth gesture. 

Rahul Gandhi has a potential outreach in Tamil Nadu through his extensive campaigns in the Kongu belt, where the ruling ADMK enjoys a stronghold. Taking a break from the campaign trails, Rahul Gandhi appeared in a cooking show on a popular Youtube channel 'Village Cooking Channel'. The channel has released Rahul's day out with its members and how he took part in cooking Mushroom Biriyani in the channel's event that was held in Aravakurichi, Karur. 

The 14-minute long video was uploaded on the Youtube channel on Friday and ever since the video was released, it has been getting spread rampantly and winning hearts as Rahul Gandhi has presented what the state didn't witness from him before. In the video, Rahul Gandhi can be seen taking part in cooking one of the most selling recipes in Tamil Nadu. The Congress leader was seen dressed up in a blue t-shirt and black pants and greets the chefs of the channel by saying 'Vanakkam'. He also had conversed with them about the food and their wish. 

Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by Jothimani, who is the Lok Sabha MP of Congress representing the Karur constituency in Tamil Nadu. Apart from taking part in the cooking channel, Rahul Gandhi has also taken part in preparing raita for the biriyani. While preparing raita, he mixes the ingredients by calling out their names in Tamil. He loudly says 'Vengayam' (onion) when he puts it into the big vessel, Thayiru (curd), and Kal Uppu (Crystal salt) and makes raita, raising the eyebrows of the chefs and the viewers. 

He also interacts with the biriyani and after the food gets ready to serve, Rahul Gandhi sits on a mat along with Jothimani and chefs of the Youtube channel and eats biriyani and says 'Nalla Iruku' (It's good). He speaks with the chefs of the channel who tell him how they were surprised to have him as their guest. One of the chefs can be seen calling the Congress leader as Rahul Ji and shares that their dream is to go abroad to cook. When Rahul Gandhi asks them about which country they wish to go first, the chefs say US, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. 

Rahul Gandhi then asks the chefs if he can help them go to the US and cook by making arrangements through his friend (Sam Pitroda) in Chicago. He also suggests to the chefs that they should also explore the opportunities to travel to other Indian states and cook. The chefs then share that they still can't believe that Rahul Gandhi is with them and they told him that they wish to organize a feast for the subscribers of their channel for which Rahul Gandhi said, "When you organize, I will come". 

While leaving, Rahul Gandhi said that he is happy to have tried their food. He added, "It's excellent and you have to make me try the termite next time when I'm coming". The Congress leader bids farewell to the chefs by assuring that he will put them in touch with his friend in the United States. In what has become a surprise appearance of the Congress leader, the video has been going viral on social media and winning hearts across and beyond the borders. According to reports, Village Cooking Channel has been growing at a skyrocketing pace after releasing the episode with Rahul Gandhi as the channel has been in the rain of subscribers with over 1 million subscribers in one day.
