SK23: AR Murugadoss spills the beans about the Sivakarthikeyan's portrayal in the film

The much-awaited film SK23, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, has finally gone on floors with a grand pooja ceremony yesterday. The film marks the first collaboration between the director and the actor, who is playing a police officer in this action-packed thriller.

According to Murugadoss, the film will be set entirely in Chennai and will have some breathtaking action sequences that will remind the audience of his previous blockbuster Ghajini, starring Suriya. He also revealed that the film will not be a typical action flick, but will also have elements of romance and novelty.

He also added that Sivakarthikeyan has undergone special training to perfect his body language and mannerisms for his cop role. He will be seen romancing Rukmini Vasanth, who has replaced Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. Murugadoss said that he was impressed by Rukmini’s performance in another film and felt that she was more suitable for the role than Mrunal.

The film boasts of a stellar technical crew, with music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sudeep Elamon and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The film is expected to hit the screens later this year and is sure to create a lot of buzz among the fans of both Murugadoss and Sivakarthikeyan.

The movie is currently being filmed in various locations, including Chennai, in sporadic shoots.Vidyut Jammwal, who played the main antagonist in Murugadoss' directorial Thuppakki, and Malayalam legendary actor Mohanlal were reported to play important roles in the film.
